York Knights have signed Matty English for the 2027 season, thanks to support from Squad Builder! Initially joining on loan until the end of 2026, English has now agreed a permanent move to the LNER Community Stadium from Huddersfield Giants. After spending 10 seasons with the Giants, the 28 year-old earned a testimonial year in 2026, and faced the Knights in a pre-season game as part of it.
